Freddie Gibbs is not playing around when he speaks about guns and violence in his songs. Following a recent gig he had in Brooklyn, the Gary-based emcee and his entourage got shot at.
The rapper was leaving his show in Williamsburg yesterday, November 3rd, when he got approached by two shooters just before he was about to get in his car. The hitmen opened fire and shot roughly 10 times. Luckily for Gibbs, he they didn’t get hit by bullets, but unfortunately his DJ suffered a leg wound.
When The Post asked Gibbs to elaborate on the shooting he briefly responded, “They tried to kill Tupac. They tried to kill. I’m still alive.” He also took to Instagram after the shooting to write, “Yep. Still livin. Thanks NYC.”
Freddie is on some thug ish for real, though. We will keep you updated on more details.
