Five years after their Grammy-nominated classic Alfredo, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist are officially back with Alfredo 2, dropping July 25th.
The announcement arrives with the release of opening track “1995” and a cinematic short film, Alfredo: The Movie, directed by Nick Walker and shot in Japan. The visual reimagines the duo as ramen shop hustlers navigating a yakuza-inspired underworld—equal parts Ghost Dog and noir crime thriller.
From cryptic teasers to an invite-only LA screening, the rollout has been nothing short of legendary.
Freddie & Alc will celebrate with a special vinyl drop (100 signed copies) and a launch event at LA’s HVW8 Gallery in collaboration with Babylon and Amazon Music’s Rotation on July 19. Expect a photo exhibit, listening party, short film screening, and limited apparel.
Alfredo 2 promises to be another masterclass—melding Alchemist’s signature textures with Gibbs’ lyrical precision and cinematic flair.
