Freek Joins Charlie Sloth for ‘Fire In The Booth’ Dubai Series

Since signing with Apple, Charlie Sloth has taken his ‘Fire In The Booth’ around the world with different ideas but now he has decided to take it to another level with the Dubai Series.

Charlie decided to move to Dubai last year allowing him and the Fire In The Booth team to safely record a range of freestyle performances – both from the UAE as well as other international artists visiting the region. The result is a special six-part series entitled the ‘Dubai Series’ which features amazing UAE talents – Freek and Jaysus and freestyles from Kelvyn Colt (Germany), Kekra (France) and the UK’s Ay Em to give the season a truly international feel. Responsibly shot in 2020 before tighter lockdown restrictions, the season kicked off with an historic cypher out in Dubai, and now the UAE base rapper Freek joins Charlie to deliver more heat on the roof, closing the series in style with the sixth and final freestyle.

The Somali emcee grew up skateboarding on the streets of Abu Dhabi from the age of 12 and represents what a new and exciting generation of Arabic artists are bringing to the scene. Incorporating both Arabic and English in his bars, Freek effortlessly blurs the boundaries between music and region and his appeal covers both native speakers and far beyond. On stage, he has opened for Future and Kano and was featured on Ebro’s Apple Music platform for his single ‘Wala Kelma’.
