French Montana drops his new tape, “Mac & Cheese 4: The Appetizer”.
Things got a bit confusing when French Montana announced that his sophomore album would be titled, Mac & Cheese — making it both the follow up to his major label debut, Excuse My French, and the fourth installment in his successful mixtape series. This was further convoluted when Montana decided to give us a promotional mixtape for the album named after a mixtape.
At the end of the day, it’s about the music, and Mac & Cheese: The Appetizer should satisfy fans of Montana’s early work with Harry Fraud, who he teams up with here for seven new tracks. Also hearkening back to French’s past is the tape’s intro, which features a spoken intro from mentor and collaborator Max B.
