This week Plugged In welcomes French Drill Star Malty 2BZ who brings his own stamp on the UK sound. Showing just how international Fumez and his studio are getting, this is another monumental step for the platform after last week saw another first time in the ‘Plugged In’ series with an animated video from Young Dizz.
Seeing a different culture take on Drill makes you realise how much impact it is having globally. It is following the parameters of the genre but Malty 2BZ is coming with his own inventive flows and narrating stories that are true to his own geographic location. Armed with a Liverpool shirt and subtitles for the viewers, this ‘Plugged In’ is fresh and hopefully opens the door to further cultures across Europe or the world.
The double release also sees SD pull up with a ton of people for what is a hyped-up performance. With visual backing from Fumez there is no surprise that this solo effort from SD is trending across YouTube. A veteran in the British Collective Harlem Spartans, SD works alongside the likes of Loski and MizOrMac but for this freestyle he represents the Spartans on his own and in style.
FUMEZ THE ENGINEER – Plugged In – SD (Video has been taken down)
Fumez The Engineer has been active on the scene for a long time but really hitting the spotlight in the last 2 years with the birth of his freestyle platform ‘Plugged In’. With the 3 series we have had so far, it has accumulated well over 100 million views on YouTube alone as well as charting rights with some of the freestyles entering the top 40. The 2.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify has also contributed to the 100 million+ streams Fumez is boasting. The entrepreneur that is Fumez is one of the hottest and most influential characters in the Drill scene to date.
With Fumez playing at festivals, releasing documentaries and being the face of the Hoodrich x JD campaign seen across their stores, it is clear he is moving up the gears. A string of headline shows also on the way, his timing is impeccable and has dropped this 4th season just in time to continue riding his wave of hype!
