Future speaks on the “misunderstanding” that happened between him and Drake, as well as his upcoming album “Honest.”
Before Drake left for his “Would You Like A Tour?” a small problem arose with one of his guest performers, Future, and it momentarily seemed like Future would not be joining Drake for the tour.
The situation allegedly arose from a comment Future made regardingDrake’s album Nothing Was The Same during an interview with Billboard, which Drizzy took offence to, and so the rumors started going that Drake was kicking Future off his tour, and in turn, Future was suing Drake.
Now that the two are both on good terms and on the road together, Future spoke to Rolling Stone about what went down.
“Certain stuff was being said but it was just that me and [Drake] had to make sure we were on the same page ’cause everything was taken out of context,” the rapper said, referring to the Billboard interview. “When I heard the rumor, it goes without saying that the only thing it was was a misunderstanding. At the end of the day, I’m back on the tour and I love being a part of it — it’s my first tour — and I’m about giving my fans a club experience. They know all my songs from the club so I’m bringing it like that, just giving them back-to-back bangers and hits after hits. I want the arena to feel like the club.”
During his interview with RS, he also spoke a bit on his album Honest, in particular, a track called “Land Of Fire” which has a beat from Mike WiLL Made It, which was actually intended for Jay Z.
“I think he [Jay] was in the process of considering the beat but as I listened to the track I heard the hook in my head so it’s a Future song now,” he said. “The beat is a banger and my man Mike WIll is always pushing me to the limits.”
Future dropped the Miley Cyrus and Mr. Hudson-featured “Real And True” yesterday, which is also produced by Mike WiLL.
