Formed by the creative development programme Gallery 37, four rising talents from Birmingham Ellisee, Paranoid JC, J.S, and DJ Piero prove to be an untouchable crew with their newest single ‘Wake Up’, a killer garage-infused hit with a fresh and soulful twist.
Gallery 37 is a creative development programme produced by Punch Records, the UK’s leading Music and Arts agency who have a commitment to working with Black Music, Arts and Culture. Their bi-yearly residency is a free programme that invests in Birmingham’s next generation of young artists, giving them a significant opportunity to boost their career and fulfill their ambitions, through masterclasses, hyper-local commissions, residencies and workshops.
The track is an easy-going anthem, exploring the antics of everyday life from four perspectives. The opening lyrics from Ellisee are paired with a punchy beat and groovy yet subtle bassline that hovers throughout the track. The production allows the track to breathe and provides space for Paranoid JC, J.S and DJ Piero to flex their lyrical ability and endless flows.
Discussing the release Gallery 37 say “We challenge you not to be addicted to the hook, which we predict to be an anthem throughout warehouse parties and nightclubs for years to come.”
