The first day of 2023 offers us some dismal Hip-Hop news.
Former Three 6 Mafia member and rapper Gangsta Boo from Memphis has passed away at the age of 43. Details are currently scarce, but it seems that the rapper was found dead on her front porch earlier today. There have been rumours for a while but DJ Paul confirmed the sad news on Instagram.
Gangsta Boo was part of Three 6 from 1995 until 2001 and is widely considered a legend in Hip-Hop. She helped pave the way early for women to be taken seriously in Rap and is a pioneer of a lot of what happens today. May she forever be immortalised.
