After breakout success in 2017 leading to a GRAMMY nomination last year, GoldLink has kept busy. While the DMV star hasn’t put out a project, GoldLink continued to drop records and make guest appearances. Prepping to give fans his new album later this year, GoldLink hit the Beats 1 airwaves with Zane Lowe to premiere his new single “Zulu Screams.” On the track, GL is joined by Maleek Berry and singer/songwriter Bibi Bourelly.
“It was actually the first song that I did for the upcoming album, and we knew it was special right away,” GoldLink tells Zane Lowe. “We wanted to make sure it was the perfect person to take it to the next level. We were like, ‘Yo, let’s try Maleek,’ and Maleek was super down and he killed it.”
