Gucci Mane teams up with Rocko for “Pardon Me.’
Still blazing from yesterday’s “Drop Top Wizop Freestyle,” Gucci Mane teams up with Rocko for his latest release, “Pardon Me.”
Over a trap-infused banger, Guwop rhymes about his lavish lifestyle and multi-faceted skill set. “A ni**a so fly, that I should have been a pilot,” he raps. “I know a ni**a rap, but I could’ve been a stylist / Feel like a jeweler ’cause I rock so many diamonds / Could never run for president, my past too violent.”
Detailing his rise from “corner boy” to “kingpin,” Gucci also fires off some shots at unnamed competitors. “Fuck your CEO, tell him King Gucci said that,” he raps, before doubling down: “That’s your CEO? We used to gamble for his contract / I damn near lost his first three albums playing blackjack.”
Throughout, Rocko offers his support. “Life’s all about taking risks, I told my baby ‘Pray for me, I’m trying to be all I can be,’” he raps. “Trying to live out my dreams, if I offend you, pardon me, I’m just trying to be all I could be.”
“Pardon Me” follows Gucci’s Nicki Minaj-assisted “Make Love.” Both cuts arrive ahead of Guwop’s album DropTopWop.
On Wednesday (April 5), Guwop will kick off his “Trap God Tour.” He is also planning a movie with Rick Ross and releasing his autobiography on Sept. 19.
