In their new interview series, #FindingBET, BET tracks down some of the biggest one-hit wonders the game has seen in the past decade to find out how their career panned out. For the latest episode, BET caught up with J-Kwon, the mastermind behind one of hip-hop’s most popular records of all time, “Tipsy.” Released in 2004, the smash single propelled a 17-year-old from sleeping in the streets to the biggest stage at the time, TRL.

But as we all know, in hip-hop comes “mo’ money, mo’ problems,” which is exactly what J-Kwon faced post “Tipsy.” From child support conspiracies to rumours of him missing, the St. Louis native went through it all, and he finally gets to tell his story, in his words.
