Sticky Blood presents Hekky “Getaway”.
‘Getaway Car’ is taken from ‘Sticky Blood presents HEKKY’ upcoming AA single ‘Getaway Car/My Area’, due to drop on Sticky Blood’s Card Gang imprint on 30th October
Comprised of former Arctic Monkeys’ Andy Nichols and Jamie Shield, the production outfit has already worked with the likes of George The Poetand Terri Walker, as well as releasing music under the moniker Clubs & Spades. Their debut EP ‘I.D’ was released on their own label Card Gang Music in partnership with label and publisher Def Disco. The lead track ‘Professional’, supported by the likes of SBTV, Hypetrak, Charlie Sloth on his1Xtra show was the first introduction to Hekky’s vocals.
This new release continues to display the dark electronic hip-hop production for which the duo are already becoming known, whilst placing Hekky’s solo flow firmly in the spotlight. Combining influences as varied as Michael Jackson, The Weeknd and Jimi Hendrix with a splash of reggae and dancehall vibes, Hekky’s lyrical skills and exceptional vocal talent are plain to see here.
