Last year, Idris Elba made his directorial debut and now the multi-talented entertainer has released a new mixtape inspired by the film.
Set in the 1970s and 1980s across Kingston and London, the film is centred around D and his quest to avenge the murder of his brother and The Yardie Mixtape draws influence from both the time and the location of the movie and features reggae riddims such as “Stand By Me” featuring Kranium and Tanika, as well as grime joints such as “King Fox” featuring Newham Generals.
The 14-track project is full of features and sees appearances from Chip, Toddla T, Prynce Mini and loads more.
