California’s Jane Handcock has already racked up an impressive list of credits, writing for A-listers such as Kelly Rowland, Tyrese and Rick Ross.
Now, stepping into her own limelight by producing what she calls her “best work to date” Jane has dropped her new EP and latest instalment of her ‘Where’s Jane’ series. ‘Where’s Jane? Series 2’ represents an artist fully immersing herself as a solo artist and celebrating where she finds herself in her life. Boasting some stellar songwriting skills and taking inspiration from her journey as an artist, Jane provides listeners with a dynamic sound and transparent message throughout the entire project. She explains:
“‘Where’s Jane? Series 2’ is a look into the recent events of my life. Everything I wrote & sang about comes from an authentic and vulnerable place. With this series, I wanted to focus on doing exactly what felt good to my spirit. I wanted to musically match where I was in life at this very moment.”
For us, highlights from the EP include the late-night vibe of ‘All Of Me’ and the afro-swing inspired ‘Set Me Free’. Listen to the impressive 9 track EP here:
It seems Jane is bursting with tunes at the moment – she’s even dropped a new video for ‘Function’, a single that doesn’t appear on the EP – check it out also below:
