One of London’s most exciting and talented emerging rappers JatzDaKid has come through with his third offering of the year with ‘Who’s Deya’ – calling upon TfromT and underground royalty, House Of Pharaoh’s own Blaze YL to tear this one up.
The track is a clean UK rap joint with hints of trap running through it – the heavy bass, infectious bounce and effortless flow lays the foundations for an unquestionable banger. Jatz’ and Blaze’s impressive energies are matched throughout the tune with TfromT switching up the game with his relaxed flow.
Having only begun to take music seriously 2 years ago after being kicked out on the streets, 2018 was a huge stepping stone for Jatz; dropping project ‘Just Another Kid’ featuring Octavian, TysxnRxmain and more, with his lead single ‘4’ racking up 50k streams on Soundcloud alone. He’s also gone on to collaborate with some of the UK’s more hyped artists such as Capo Lee, Kadiata, Vinch and House of Pharaohs members Sam Wise, Blaze YL and Bandanna and has thus fast become prolific in London’s underground scene.
One of his most remarkable moments last year was a support slot for New York rapper and international success Jay Critch at Camden’s Electric Ballroom – as one of the first acts to hit the stage, Jatz’ presence was electrifying and his performance was so big that his name quickly circulated in the industry as one of London’s most exciting and sort-after emerging artists. Similarly, he supported Tekashi 6ix9ine in 2017 where his energy almost matched the colourful headliner himself.
Additionally, as 1/4 of his own label Finesse The World Records alongside his close friends and fellow artists WzrdYoshi, TysxnRxmain and Jaegar, their success is fundamental, from tearing up their first headline show in Paris in 2017, the rest is history. JatzDaKid is honestly one of the most talented artists in the London scene right now and it’s hard to believe he hasn’t blown up already, his unmatchable stage presence and energy against his effortless flow is the formula of a winner. We’re really excited about this one, be sure to keep locked in with his movements this year – there’s plenty more to come.
