Joey Bada$$ Disses Troy Ave In “5 Fingers Of Death” Freestyle.
The Joey Bada$$ and Troy Ave beef continues. Nearly a month after Troy unleashed his scathing “Bada$$” single, in which he also dissed the late Pro Era MC Capital STEEZ, Joey returns the favor with a vengeance.
During a “5 Fingers of Death” freestyle on “Sway in the Morning,” Bada$$ delivered direct shots while playing with Ave’s name and his latest album title. “Name another Brooklyn cat [who’s] Major Without a Deal,” he rhymed. “I destroy average rappers. It’s just practice.”
Later, Bada$$ also addressed Troy’s STEEZ disses.
“Talkin’ on the god, like we gon’ let it slide,” Joey rhymed. “When he did more dead than you could ever do alive / Now I won’t even lie, can’t agree with suicide / In the darkest time, there’s still a brighter side / He took a leap of faith and only brightened his light / You took a cheap shot of hate and only shortened your life / Difference between you and him is that he lives forever / You’ll be the first to die who nobody ever remembers.”
