Joey BASE “Trapped Out The Trap House” Video

Joey BASE releases new visuals for ‘Trapped Out The Trap House’.

The track is about Joey leaving behind a certain life and dedicating his life to his passion which is music. Hence why the music video is filmed in a recording studio.

His opening line in his first verse states ‘Perfecting my craft, Selected my path, Light through the dark, Im the shaft on the arrow’.

Joey lyrically excels himself when you listen closely to what he is saying and what he is referring to. Joey is a 27-year-old Musician who spent most of his late teens and early twenties in prison. Upon his release in 2016 he devoured himself to changing his life as his last sentence in his own words was different. Usually he would be in and out and wouldn’t care but on his last sentence he invested time in himself, he read a lot of books, made plans and affirmed his future within himself before leaving those prison gates. Joey wants to be an example to the youth that one its not to late to change your life two that it is actually possible for a young black man to achieve if one is focused.

Joey understands its hard to get listeners attention when the music is to positive. Not everyone lives a positive life how could they possibly relate. So Joey uses his past elements of his life and fuses it with his current state of mind and produces the sounds that he is releasing today.

Joey also states that he refuses to blow up overnight he has hits that he hasn’t released because he wants the youth to witness the progress, the hard work, the dedication, the work behind the scenes. If you follow Joey on social media he’s always in the studio, always promoting always in a positive state of mind I mean just have a look at his captions its mind blowing.

The track is produced by Amafist whom produced Joey’s singles ‘Life Over Circumstances’ & ‘Streets Or A Lady’ the track was recorded at Metropolis Studios one of the best studios in London.
