With explosive hyperpop vocals and Jersey club-style percussion for a danceable backbeat, “You & I” breaks aural boundaries while appealing to listeners with its frank lyrics about relationship issues.
Jordan says of the new single: ‘The road of making this song had the most organic feeling to me in a long time. I kept thinking about how we hate and adore love. I love rock, dance, and hyperpop, but when I thought “why don’t I try blending it with Jersey club drums?” I knew this was unique. That seemed brand-new to me.”
Jordan Adetunji defies convention. After releasing forward-thinking rap singles like “WOKEUP!” and “Insecure (Love Yourself),” the genre-bending musician with references to rap, R&B, post-punk, and hyperpop is quickly creating a name for himself.
