Joyner Lucas returns with his brand-new single “NVM”, pairing powerful lyricism with an emotional visual co-starring Grammy-winning R&B icon Mya.
The cinematic video places the two in bed as Joyner raps from the perspective of a hurt woman, with Mya delivering lines alongside him in a striking role reversal. “It’s like our light was going dim and now it’s unplugged / And I doubt that it will ever change,” he reflects. Later, Joyner flips the perspective back to himself, portraying the heartbreaking disconnect between two lovers who’ve grown apart.
Produced by Leo Son, “NVM” showcases Joyner at his most vulnerable, diving into themes of love, distance, and emotional exhaustion. The single also marks his first release since ADHD 2, which dropped earlier this summer.
