Kanye moves on from TIDAL.
Tidal no longer has exclusive rights to stream Kanye West’s music, according to Complex and Billboard. It has been confirmed that Jay-Z’s streaming service and West, who was one of its 16 original artist-owners, have terminated their deal.
Billboard reports that Kanye West claims that Tidal owes him more than $3 million after the success of The Life of Pablo on the music service. There is also disputeabout payment for West’s music videos. The two parties don’t seem to be engaged in legal battle yet, but it’s certainly a possibility.
Later on, Billboard added that “a source close to Kanye West has confirmed that Tidal’s exclusivity rights have been terminated based on what is alleged to be Tidal’s failure to honor its financial obligations.”
