Kanye West has injected fresh energy into Future and Metro Boomin’s hit track “Like That” by dropping a new verse, where he doesn’t hold back on taking shots at fellow rappers Drake and J.Cole.
Teased during Kanye’s appearance on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast, the remix features Ye delivering fiery lines aimed at his rivals. In defense of Kendrick Lamar, he praises Kendrick’s skills before criticizing Drake and J.Cole. Ye raps, “Y’all so out of sight, out of mind, I can’t even think of a Drake line / Play J. Cole, get the pussy dry / Play this shit back a hundred-thirty times.”
The original version of “Like That,” which features Kendrick Lamar, has already reached the top spot on the Billboard 100 charts and is part of Future and Metro Boomin’s highly successful album, We Don’t Trust You. The remix has sparked further controversy in the ongoing feud between Drake, J.Cole, and now Kanye West.
“Like That (Remix)” marks Kanye West’s return to music since his collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign on their chart-topping album, Vultures 1, released in February. Fans can expect more collaborations between the two artists as they work on the follow-up, Vultures 2.
