Kanye Talks Fatherhood, Twitter Rants & Delivers a ‘Stream of Consciousness’ on ‘Ellen’
After winning “Artist of the Year” at the Webby Awards, Kanye West caught up with good friend Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen Show on Wednesday afternoon (May 18). The artist/designer sat down with Ellen and discussed fatherhood, his son Saint West, if more kids are on the way, Kim Kardashian’s idea of Kanye having a Twitter advisor, and asking Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg for $1 billion.
In classic Kanye fashion, the 38-year-old went into an animated 8-minute stream-of-consciousness where he touched on wanting resources to get his various ideas out into the world, the lack of diversity at the Oscars, having synesthesia, moments with President Obama, plus references Rakim’s “I Ain’t No Joke,” the late Phife Dawg, and aiming to be the “Michael Jackson of apparel.” On a lighter note, an enthusiastic Kanye went head-to-head with Ellen in one of her favorite games, the “5 Second Rule.”
