Watch Kendrick Lamar’s “good kid, m.A.A.d city” Film.
All the way back in 2014, Kendrick Lamar and director Kahlil Joseph teamed up to bring Kendrick’s critically-acclaimed album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, to the big screen at Sundance’s NEXT Festival in Los Angeles. The film was later shown atthe L.A. Museum of Contemporary Art last year, but was never given a full release so that fans around the world could see it. That was until today, when the 14-minute film finally made its way online.
The film highlights the city of Compton while Kendrick’s classic album serves as the fitting soundtrack to the dramatic scenes. While the music is the same as it was on the album, it does feature some added commentary before a few of the songs that wasn’t available before.
Of course, TDE is quite busy right now, as they announced their full rollout plan for 2016 earlier this week, which could include six projects, with one of them coming as soon as this week. You can watch Kendrick’s good Kid, m.A.A.d city short film below.
