Kendrick Lamar Receives Platinum Plaque For “good kid, m.A.A.d City”

Kendrick’s accolades continue.

The annual BET Experience Music Festival took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last night, and included performances from Kendrick Lamar,Snoop Dogg, Miguel and more. After the show, Interscope Records and Top Dawg Entertainment hosted an after party, during which K. Dot was presented with a platinum plaque for his debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city, which has sold 938,389 copies in the U.S. to date.

This comes only a few days after Dr. Dre presented Kendrick with theVanguard Award at this year’s ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards, for his impact on “musical genres that help shape the future of American music.”
