Christian “King” Combs takes hits from the ’90s and makes ’em sound so crazy with his debut mixtape, 90’s Baby, dedicated to hip-hop and R&B from the era he was raised in.
The 12-track project features many sources of inspiration from the East and West coasts. This includes Snoop Dogg’s “Tha Shiznit,” 2Pac’s “All Eyez On Me,” and even his famous dad Diddy’s “Señorita.”
Combs, 20, closes the album with his own version of 50 Cent’s “U Not Like Me,” which dropped in 2002. “I’m too wavy,” he raps. “Bad Boy behind the baby / And you not like me.” The Bad Boy stamp also appears on the cover with a throwback shot of the father-and-son duo. Meanwhile, guests include members of his CYN crew.
