On “Nice For What,” Drake flipped Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor” into his latest chart topper. But last night, Lauryn Hill reclaimed her 1998 hit as she remixed “Nice For What” during a performance at Harlem’s Apollo Theater. “See, this is ‘Ex-Factor,’ he took the sample / My shit is classic, his an example / Of how we nice it up on a n*gga / Sometimes we wanna spice it up on a n*gga,” she rapped over the live production, which subtly blended the original “Ex-Factor” instrumental with Drake’s beat.
Lauryn Hill is set to embark on The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th anniversary tour this July.
