Boston artist Layto drops off his brand new single “Tattoo,” a dark alt-rock-pop and hip-hop themed track that shines a light on his creativity and passion for music.
Writing the song with Dylan Bauld (Halsey, Liam Payne, Misterwives), “Tattoo” is filled with stuttering synth patterns and pounding hip-hop inspired rhythms. It’s devilishly dark – “combining an actual tattoo with the memory of her imprint”, Layto explains.
“Being from Massachusetts and Dylan being LA based, it was the first co-write I did via Zoom and it ended up being a three month process. The initial synth reminded me of a tattoo gun and that’s what spurred the concept. We’re both very proud of this song.”
Layto’s music has given a voice to the millions who suffer from anxiety and depression. “My music isn’t about making people feel good, it’s about making them feel human”.
