You know that when Chicago Tribune writes an article about a rapper from the city, there’s at least one person arrested. Even though Lil Durk vowed not to return to the court room back in August, the young artist got cuffed yesterday in ChiRaq for gun charges while police were investigating a homicide.
Investigating a homicide, officers went to a home in Orland Hills around 5 a.m. on Wednesday, and were let in by a woman who answered the door. Inside, they found Durk who was standing near guns – Glock .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 11 live rounds and a Springfield .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 13 live rounds. He reportedly told the cops, “I got those pipes (guns) ’cause (expletive) always be tryin’ to take my bands (money).”
Durk got arrested on the spot. Later, his attorney, Sam Adam Jr., released a statement to the Tribune about the incident:
“He’s upset, of course. We feel very confident that he did not possess a gun. No gun was ever in the possession of Mr. Banks. At all. I am trying to investigate what exactly happened.”
