With a new record and music video out now, Lil’ Kim stopped by HOT 97’s Ebro in the Morning show to promote “Took Us A Break.” During the 43-minute conversation, Lil’ Kim speaks on the new song she calls more of a warmup record, her hardcore fan base, Cardi B’s success and loving her come up, fellow female MCs getting a long in the 90s vs. the negativity and constant beefing now, being a trendsetter, and The Notorious B.I.G. discovering her in their Brooklyn neighborhood.
The Queen Bee would confirm Jermaine Dupri’s story on Drink Champs of Biggie pulling a gun on her during an argument, and she would detail her relationship with iconic MC. Kimmy Blanco also touched on her appearance on Remy Ma’s new single “Wake Me Up,” the rumors of Nicki Minaj being dissed on it, and Kim possibly reconciling with Minaj if there’s business and money involved. Lil’ Kim would later speak on her upcoming album, loving to collaborate, Drake as an artist, Prodigy of Mobb Deep passing away, and Beyoncé dressing as Lil’ Kim for Halloween.
