UK rap powerhouse Little Simz has released “Young”, the third promotional single from her upcoming album Lotus — now set to drop June 6.
Originally scheduled for May 9, Simz revealed the delay was due to scheduling conflicts with a newly landed film role. “Not ideal for me or you… but it just means I can’t do the film otherwise,” she shared via Instagram on April 1.
To make up for the wait, Simz promised more tracks — and she’s delivered. Unlike the emotionally heavy “Flood” and “Free”, her latest single “Young” takes a playful turn. She embodies a quirky, posh granny navigating adult life with witty bars and a hilarious prosthetic-filled music video to match.
It’s a fun, refreshing curveball — and another reason Lotus is shaping up to be one of her most versatile albums yet.
