Mace The Great Releases “SplottWorld” Album

Mace The Great — SplottWorld

Mace The Great, a native of Cardiff, is continuing to spread Welsh rap throughout the world with his next studio album, SplottWorld (which he called after his city). His previous songs have been well received by the industry, and he was included in the BBC documentary Wales: Music Nation.
Mace The Great’s CD showcases the evolution of his music. Rapping lines like “what you know about struggle and strife, I’m from the ends where the struggle is rife,” he ranges from the boastful and bouncy bars of “Wicked & Bad” to the introspective tracks “Ali Bombaye” and “How I Want It,” where he muses on how his family and past experiences have shaped his purpose.
According to Mace, “the project is about my journey….reflection, progress, and thankfulness.” The lessons you pick up along the way are more important than the flaws in your upbringing. Welcome to My World….SplottWorld!

Mace The Great has been straightforward about his goals ever since his first song. On the Minas-produced tune “Tourist,” Mace raps, “you know how it is, tourist and I take it over the bridge.” His first album, “My Side of the Bridge,” was an open invitation to see all that Wales has to offer.
