Listen to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ new song “White Privilege II.”
After a two year hiatus, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will finally release their long awaited new album next month called This Unruly Mess I’ve Made. Looking to amp up the promotion, the duo decide to come through today and share a new Jamila Woods-featured record called “White Privledge II,” which serves as a follow up to Mack’s song of the same name from 2005.
Over a piano-laced instrumental, Macklemore touches on the racial tension in America, something he hasn’t been afraid to voice his opinion on in the past. Rapping about Black Lives Matter, racism, and other socially conscious issues for nearly 9-minutes straight, Macklemore is definitely sending a strong message that will probably receive mixed-emotions from the fans & public. It’s pretty safe to say this is going to stir up the pot and be much talked about.
