Major Lazer joins forces with PARTYNEXTDOOR and Nicki Minaj for new song “Run Up”.
On the red carpet of the 2016 Billboard Music Awards last December, Diplo announced his Major Lazer group had a new single featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR and Nicki Minaj on the way. After teasing fans, the record is finally here. Titled “Run Up,” the song is an island flavored jam lead by the OVO Sound singer/songwriter as the Young Money Queen comes through with a patois-laced guest verse.
A video for “Run Up” was filmed in Trinidad & Tobago late last year and is expected to arrive in the coming weeks according to Diplo. Along with putting out their Sound of Rum project with Bacardi, Major Lazer are also finishing their new album, Music Is the Weapon.
