Makola “Black Man Statues” Video

Grime/highlife duo Makola have just released the visuals to their hard-hitting single ‘Black Man Statues‘ which dropped last Friday on Complex. Since they released their debut single – the feel-good summer track ‘This Is London’ – they have seen support from the likes of Beats 1’s Julie Adenuga, BBC’s Huw Stephens and Mistajam, whilst proving their worth as live performers, smashing their debut show at Koko in November.

Black Man Statues isn’t particularly tied down to specific race but more about real and static depictions of culture within London. How will we be depicted in the future?
