Marci Phonix teams up with CLUE on the explosive new single produced by The Heavytrackerz ‘On My Wave.’
Grime originator Marci Phonix continues his output of hard-hitting, social commentary singles with latest track ‘On My Wave’.
Teaming up with hotly tipped London MC Clue, the pair have put a defiant middle finger up to the police whilst spitting some close to the bone truths over a Heavytrackerz beat. Acting as a call to arms to disaffected youth across the board, nothing is off limits as they attack Brexit, Trump, the government’s handling of the refugee crisis, and both the police and media’s misrepresentation of young black men in 2018 – as well as blasting fellow MCs for not tackling real issues in our culture.
With the surge in knife crime and street violence, we find ourselves in at the moment Marci aims to channel this aggression and use it for positive change within his music and to inspire youth to do the same.
Marci Phonix, one of the founding fathers of UK Grime, burst onto the scene back in 2002 alongside contemporaries such as Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, JME and Kano. After performing at sold out venues across the country, he fast gained a reputation of being one of the fiercest MC’s in the industry, headlining events such as Sidewinder and Eskimo Dance along the way. This success led to collaborations with Skepta, Ghetts and Big Narstie, with his music being championed by all of the key media outlets of the time. Now he is back with a fire in his belly, an arsenal of new material and a message for the masses “Nobody’s Safe!”
