After a more political/social commentary output since his return to grime in 2017, Marci Phonix has been labelled as somewhat of a hero/spokesman for the people after blasting Tory MP Kwasi Kwarteng live on air on Channel 4 News over the Windrush scandal.
With emotions riding extremely high within communities across the country, Marci’s frustrations have driven him to respond further, this time the way he knows best – by dropping brand new visuals for newly penned track ‘Liberties’, shot and directed by Luke Biggins (Stefflon Don/Stormzy), staring Aimee Richardson aka Myrcella Baratheon in Game Of Thrones. The track has added to Spotify’s Grime Shutdown playlist and has been supported at BBC 1 Xtra – Target & Semtex plus Manny Norte @ Capital Xtra (who also stars in the video) and online with Noisey, Complex UK and Trench all championing the visuals dropped on GRM Daily earlier this week.
