Masicka and Spice to Headline City Splash’s Huge Drumsheds Takeover

30 Aug 2026 By Prodizzle

City Splash returns to Drumsheds this November with dancehall heavyweights Masicka and Spice leading the first wave of artists for a 15,000-capacity celebration of Caribbean and African music and culture.

City Splash is heading back indoors this winter, returning to Drumsheds, London on Saturday, 21 November 2026 for its third takeover of the venue.

Following another major summer for the festival, City Splash has unveiled the first wave of artists for its 2026 Drumsheds edition, with Masicka and Spice confirmed as the headline names.

The takeover will bring together reggae, dancehall, R&B, soca, bouyon, Afro House and wider sounds from across Caribbean and African culture, spread across three rooms inside one of London’s largest indoor music venues.

With a capacity of approximately 15,000, Drumsheds provides City Splash with a very different environment from its outdoor festival home, while retaining the sound-system energy and community focus that have become central to the brand.

Masicka Leads a New Generation of Dancehall

At the top of the announcement is Masicka, one of contemporary dancehall’s most prominent international artists.

Known for his sharp lyricism, controlled delivery and a catalogue that includes tracks such as “Tyrant,” “Moments” and “Update,” the Jamaican artist has developed from a rising figure within the island’s dancehall scene into a major global name.

His Drumsheds appearance places him on one of City Splash’s biggest indoor stages to date.

Masicka represents a generation of artists continuing to push Jamaican music forward while maintaining the lyricism, rhythm and competitive energy that remain fundamental to dancehall.

With Drumsheds capable of accommodating thousands of fans across its cavernous industrial space, his headline performance is positioned to become one of the defining moments of the takeover.

Spice Returns to City Splash

Joining Masicka at the top of the bill is Spice, who makes her return to City Splash as one of dancehall’s most recognised international figures.

Often referred to as the Queen of Dancehall, Spice has spent more than two decades establishing herself as a performer capable of combining provocative songwriting, choreography, fashion and commanding stage presence.

Her catalogue includes records such as “So Mi Like It,” while her debut album 10 received a GRAMMY nomination.

Her return gives the lineup significant weight.

Few contemporary dancehall artists have maintained Spice’s visibility across music, television, fashion and Caribbean popular culture while remaining closely connected to the sound that established them.

Alongside Masicka, her appearance gives City Splash two contrasting but equally influential voices from modern Jamaican music.

Rampage Sound Bring Sound-System Culture to Drumsheds

City Splash has also ensured that the takeover remains rooted in sound-system culture.

Rampage Sound are among the first names confirmed, bringing decades of influence within UK Black music and Notting Hill Carnival culture to the event.

Their inclusion reflects a key part of City Splash’s identity.

While headline artists attract the largest attention, selectors, DJs and sound systems remain fundamental to the way reggae, dancehall and Caribbean music have historically travelled through communities.

At Drumsheds, that culture will operate on a scale normally associated with major electronic-music events.

A Strong UK DJ and MC Lineup

The first announcement also includes a substantial collection of DJs, hosts and selectors from across the UK scene.

DJ Nate & English Fire, DJ Larni, DJ Ace, Izzy Bossy, Nicky Slimting, Jada Pink and Vybz-SR are all confirmed.

Long-time City Splash collaborator Izzy Bossy returns once again, while the wider lineup brings together club, radio and sound-system personalities who regularly operate across dancehall, reggae, Afrobeats and R&B.

City Splash’s strength has traditionally come from allowing these scenes to overlap.

Rather than separating dancehall from African club music or reggae from contemporary R&B, the festival allows different sounds connected through Black British, African and Caribbean culture to exist alongside each other.

Afro House and Underground Sounds Get Their Own Moment

One of the most interesting elements of the first-wave announcement comes through Pioneer, Supa D, Coldsteps & Terminal 4.

The collective will unite for what organisers describe as a heavyweight celebration of Afro House and underground sounds.

Their inclusion demonstrates how City Splash continues to expand musically beyond traditional reggae and dancehall programming.

African electronic music has become an increasingly important part of UK nightlife, with Afro House, amapiano and related sounds reaching larger audiences while maintaining strong relationships with underground club culture.

Within a venue such as Drumsheds, those deeper and more percussive sounds should translate particularly well.

Three Rooms, 15,000 People and One Cultural Takeover

Drumsheds has rapidly become one of London’s most distinctive large-scale music venues.

The repurposed industrial warehouse opened in October 2023 and can accommodate approximately 15,000 attendees, providing a vast indoor environment built around large-scale production and multiple rooms.

For City Splash, the venue creates the opportunity to recreate elements of festival culture during the colder months.

Three rooms will allow organisers to programme different styles simultaneously, giving attendees the ability to move between headline performances, DJ sets, sound-system sessions and underground sounds throughout the event.

That scale also allows City Splash to present Caribbean culture within an environment often associated with major electronic and dance events.

It is a significant statement for a festival built around reggae, dancehall and diaspora culture.

City Splash Continues to Grow Beyond the Summer

The Drumsheds takeover represents another part of City Splash’s continued expansion.

Rather than operating solely as an annual outdoor festival, the brand has increasingly developed into a year-round cultural platform capable of hosting large-scale events in different formats.

Returning to Drumsheds for a third year suggests that the indoor edition has now established its own identity alongside the summer festival.

The November event should feel distinct from Brockwell Park.

Where the outdoor festival is characterised by sunshine, food, fashion and open-air stages, Drumsheds creates a darker, louder and more club-focused environment.

The common thread remains the music.

Whether through Masicka and Spice on the biggest stage, Rampage Sound representing UK sound-system history or selectors moving between dancehall, Afro House, R&B and soca, the emphasis remains on the connections running throughout Caribbean and African music.

More Artists Still to Come

Importantly, this is only the first wave of the 2026 lineup.

City Splash has confirmed that additional artists will be announced ahead of the event, meaning the current bill represents only part of what will eventually take over the three Drumsheds rooms.

With Masicka and Spice already leading the programme, expectations will be high for the remaining additions.

For now, the opening announcement gives a clear indication of the direction.

City Splash is preparing another large-scale celebration built around dancehall, Caribbean culture, sound-system heritage and the continually evolving relationship between African and UK club music.

On 21 November, 15,000 music fans will once again descend on North London as City Splash turns Drumsheds into its own cultural playground.

And with Masicka and Spice at the top of the bill, the takeover is already shaping up to be one of the biggest dancehall events of the winter.
