Miles Glyphers – Dollar and a Dream

Miles Glyphers Dollar and a Dream

“Dollar And A Dream” is the new track from Australian rapper Miles Glyphers. He’s preparing to release his followup Third World Child EP, and dropped off “Dollar and a Dream” as his first single.

The electro-hip-hop track relies on groovy synths that glide across precise 808 drums while he tells his stories of when he “had to step up” and “took a huge leap” to become a successful artist. Expressing the trials he endured to reach the point he’s at now, he imparts nuggets of wisdom throughout, including a warm “we all gotta be something so nobody worthless” maxim.

He’s exploring the range of his vocals on “Dollar and a Dream,” careening off of the 808 drums with different approaches and flows throughout the verse. His delivery augments the inspirational lyrics with an abstract twist, presenting accessible, pop-leaning hip-hop that eschews the confines of triteness.

There’s no release date for Third World Child, but in the meantime you can listen to “Dollar and a Dream” below.
