Birmingham, United Kingdom The excitement level in Birmingham skyrocketed on Saturday night when local grime singers MIST and Lady Leshurr performed during the ring walks of two professional fighters at a BOXXER and Sky Sports Boxing event. The event, held in Birmingham’s Resorts globe Arena, was seen by millions of people across the globe thanks to live broadcasts.

While introducing local hero and European Champion Kirstie ‘Bavvo’ Bavington for the first-ever female British Title Fight, Lady Leshurr sang her smash song “Black Panther” for the crowd. This was the first time in the tournament’s 114-year existence that women could compete for the prestigious British Title, and it did not disappoint. Bavington fought Lauren Price MBE, a multi-British Empire (MBE) awardee and Olympic gold medalist in amateur boxing.

After Lady Leshurr, who was wearing a stunning purple tracksuit, gave a knockout performance, the crowd was on the edge of their seats for the 10-round fight between Lauren Price MBE and Kirstie Bavington, who were both fighting for the title of British Champion on the day of the King’s coronation.
For the main event, Olympic bronze medalist and unbeaten Light-Heavyweight Contender Joshua Buatsi walked out to the music of MIST, renowned for his frenetic and hard-hitting grime compositions.
