After more than a decade, legendary Queensbridge duo Mobb Deep return with their ninth — and final — studio album Infinite, set for release on October 10. Ahead of the project, Havoc and the late Prodigy deliver the first single, “Against The World.”
Over a gritty and soulful loop crafted by Havoc, Prodigy’s posthumous verse sets the tone:
“You had one hit in your life? / One second of fame / One of you niggas act up, everybody pays.”
Trading bars on the hook, Havoc steps in with raw wisdom:
“I ain’t gotta tell you keep your circle small, that’s a given / Gotta be about your paper, not just party and bitches.”
Produced entirely by Havoc and The Alchemist, Infinite promises to be a monumental closer for one of hip-hop’s most iconic duos. The 15-track project features an all-star lineup including Nas, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Clipse, Kool G Rap, H.E.R., Jorja Smith, and longtime collaborator Big Noyd.
Infinite arrives October 10, but you can spin “Against The World” now and hear Mobb Deep at their most timeless.
