Legendary Queensbridge duo Mobb Deep continue the rollout for their ninth and final album Infinite with the release of Taj Mahal. Produced by longtime collaborator The Alchemist, the track blends eerie loops with raw lyricism, capturing the uncompromising grit that made the group icons of New York rap.
On the track, Prodigy reminds listeners of his lasting legacy, spitting: “From the city that never sleep we take the power naps… We last the longest, run laps around your strongest.” Havoc follows with vivid storytelling, reflecting on life in QB: “Around 2 P.M., all you heard was sirens / Got the fuck up out of there, because the temperature’s rising.”
Taj Mahal follows the duo’s recent single Against The World, further building anticipation for Infinite, dropping October 10.
