Ms. Banks kicks off 2018 with her new track “Come Thru.”
Ms. Banks is already one of the most important and talked about UK rappers breaking through at the moment, sitting as comfortably on grassroots grime and rap sires as she is on the front cover the NME. Her intelligent wordplay and lyrics have already caught the attention of The Guardian, Evening Standard, and The Independent, pulling from personal experiences of being a woman and growing up in South London.
Now we see Ms Banks release her new single ‘Come Thru ’ which is oozing confidence and layered with one-liners and taut double entendres. “This is the turn up before the turn up” says Banks, alluding to what we should expect from her forthcoming coming release ‘The Coldest Winter Ever’, due to be released later this year.
“I get love from the youngers, get respect from the olders/Black girl magic, I’ve got that hocus pocus/Oh I’m so focused, let me dust off my shoulders…” Ms Banks, Come Thru, 2018.
The new single is also accompanied by a new visual which can be seen below…
