Murkage Dave, an East London singer-songwriter, has released a Valentine’s Day album titled “I Don’t Do Love Songs – A Valentines Compilation,” which has both new and classic Murkage Dave love songs.
The project’s debut track, “The Pact,” was released last month, and it deals directly with the difficulties ex-lovers face after a honorable separation. With the help of longtime friend and rapper Manga Saint Hilare, as well as fan favorites “Put You On My Shoulders” and “White Nikes In The Rain,” Dave has created a contemporary day love narrative with this production. His role as a storyteller and an essential generational voice whose music stays personal and sympathetic is cemented by “I Don’t Do Love Songs,” which places vulnerability front and centre.
