German pioneering Korean-German synth-punk duo MINOH will releases the new single Million Miles.
Million Miles lets you ride the apex of new wave while mainlining the punk adrenaline of New Model Army, with synths that oscillate in the same frantically exhilarant vein as She Passed Away and rapturously infectious vox that arrest while taking no prisoners.
To create an evocative musical environment that veers between rebellious punk and danceable new wave, MINOH combines distorted baritone guitar, fuzzy bass, and throbbing disco rhythms driven by energising synths. Executive Editor at A&R Factory Amelia Vandergast said, “While I scarcely imagined there was any room to manoeuvre fresh ingenuity into the 80s new wave arena, MINOH brought the earworm appeal of NENA, the ‘decadence’ of Poison Ivy, and guitars that will make you question the merit of Turn on the Bright Lights.”
Jamin (vocals/guitars) and Guido (vocals/bass) make up the synth-punk duo MINOH, who are located in Aachen, Germany. Despite the project’s relative youth, its members have each spent the preceding two decades honing their craft in bands as diverse as punk, new wave, hardcore, and metal. Jamin’s boyfriend Guido joined her on bass and reworked her songs into disco-punk versions after a local punk band was looking for a support band, turning what had been a solo effort in her home studio during the epidemic into a pair. Since then, MINOH has been a popular live act in Aachen and Belgium, where they have been performing while also recording and getting ready to release their first album. The first release was a Bandcamp EP of demo material that was praised by Ox- Magazine. After the final Million Miles mix is released, MINOH will release a series of songs throughout the year in anticipation of their debut album.
