Dutch artist Nelson Freitas, of Cape Verdean descent, presents his latest track “Black Butterfly” alongside an official music video. The song, written by Nelson with notable hitmakers Daecolm Holland, Arrow Benjamin, J.Sol, and Mohombi, boasts production by Nigerian super-producer Ozedikus. Following the success of his October hit “Hero,” the Afrobeat-influenced “Black Butterfly” showcases swaying rhythms and lush strings arranged by Portuguese musician Tiago Machado. The track narrates a tale of a sweet love affair. As Nelson prepares for the release of his seventh album in February, he aims to reintroduce himself with a polished new sound while retaining the essence of his previous work that has garnered a global fanbase.
