British producer and songwriter Sammy Soso, who has collaborated with Wizkid and KSI, is responsible for “Water.” Soso has been nominated for a GRAMMY. Corey Marlon Lindsay-Keay (who collaborated with Ayra Starr on Tyla’s previous track “Girl Next Door”), Ari PenSmith (Beyoncé), Sammy Soso, and Mocha wrote it.
Tyla’s versatility is on full display on her singles “Water” and “Girl Next Door,” which draw from a wide variety of musical genres and styles while remaining true to her South African roots by fusing polished vocal melodies with Afrobeats and Amapiano rhythm.
