NEWS: BIG SEAN SAYS KANYE WEST SNATCHED JAY-Z COLLABO AWAY FROM HIM [AUDIO]

G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean recently discussed the possibility of a Cruel Winter album dropping before Christmas and revealed what Jay-Z collaboration got taken from his upcoming sophomore album.

According to Sean, he initially had the G.O.O.D Music “Clique” anthem slated to appear on his Hall of Fame: Memoirs of a Detroit Player LP.

“Yeah, you’re gonna get it. Pause,” Sean told DJ Semtex when asked about a Cruel Winter album. “[Before Christmas?] I don’t know about that. You have to wait and see, man. I don’t know. It can’t be Cruel Spring, it’s gotta be in a timely fashion. I know I did something for it, for Cruel Winter and I was like, ‘God d*mn it. I might need to cut this for my album.,’ ’cause it was really good. But that’s how ‘Clique’ [was supposed to be]. ‘Clique’ was supposed to be for my album and it ended up going on Cruel Summer. I was like, ‘God d*mn it.’ I’m still on a song with Jay-Z and Kanye but it was originally going to be a single for my next album but we got so many singles that it doesn’t even matter.” (DJ Semtex)

Back in September, Sean spoke on getting Jay and Kanye on the mega track.

“Then I get a call a little bit later after that, and somebody told me that Hov is on the record and I was like, ‘d*mn,’ ” he continued. “They were like Hov and ‘Ye hopped on it, so I’m thinking, ‘Ah, they’re probably gonna take my verse off even though I laced it’ — you know, the Throne, Kanye and Jay … but then I get the call like, ‘Nah, it’s you, Kanye and Jay-Z.'” Big Sean has worked closely with Kanye West for some time now, and his debut album included collaborations with everyone from Rick Ross to Chris Brown, but this was something extra special. “I remember the first thing I thought was, ‘D*mn, I’m excited as h*ll,” and then I was like, ‘D*mn, I wish I ain’t have to do my verse first,” he added, laughing. “But I think it’s well-represented and it’s on the G.O.O.D. Music album and it’s on my next album too.” (MTV)

In early October, G.O.O.D. Music’s Teyana Taylor heated up the Internet with Cruel Winter talk.

“It’s been a cruel, cruel summer.,” she tweeted October 1st.

A week prior, rap veteran Q-Tip accidentally spilled the beans on the LP coming together.

“We’re just trying to do some next ‘ish, you know what I’m saying?,” Tip said in an interview when asked about working with Kanye West. “Look out for the Pusha T album, the Big Sean album’s coming up next. [Can you expect me on Cruel Winter?] Oh yeah, for sure. I can’t really, [laughs], let out too much details about it but yeah, I’ll be on it. Kanye had the plan for that, so look out.” (Hip Hop Since 1978)
