With their beef not nearly as strong as it once was, Game’s manager talks about the possibility of him working with G-Unit in the future.
Both Game and 50 Cent have never been afraid of mixing it up and feuding with other artists in the rap game. Possibly the Cali rapper’s most public and infamous feud is with his one-time G-Unit ally. There has been plenty of ups and downs with their beef seemingly over but occasionally flaring up. Recently, the Compton rapper sat down with the Wall Street Journal for an extensive segment, during which his manager was asked about a possible Game/G-Unit reunion. His manager, Dontay “Taydoe” Kidd, said he is pushing for the two to work together, and is hopeful it will happen as it makes sense from a business perspective.
Asked point blank if we will hear Game and 50 on a project together, Kidd said he is working on it, “I can’t say it will happen, I can’t say it won’t happen. However, from a business perspective, I’m gonna attempt to make that happen…I think it’ll be a wise business moves on both parts.”
Adding that he believes it could fill some current voids in the game, “I’m thinking about tours, I’m thinking about merchandising, I’m thinkin about all these other things that lack’n in the industry and this is the perfect timing for that.”
Ultimately, Taydoe believes that despite their past, both artists would be open to the opportunity, “I can’t speak for 50, but I think they’re both open. It’s just a matter of approaching it in the right way…they both are business savvy…now it’s only their internal egos that’ll stop that from happening.”
