Hours after Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav made headlines for possessing a deadly weapon in Las Vegas, his fianceé has stepped up to provide more details on what exactly went down.
According to Liz Trujillo, Flav not only attacked her but tried to kill her son.
Trujillo, who lives with the entertainer at his home in Las Vegas with their son Karma and her son Gibran, tells RumorFix exclusively that Flav beat her up so badly she can’t walk. She also alleges that the rapper tried to kill her 16-year-old son with a 20 inch butcher knife after Liz accused her fiancé of cheating. “He’s been cheating on me for months. I saw a text on his phone from a woman saying she ‘had a great time’ with him, and he was going to meet her in Vegas. [When I saw the text] I threw his phone and the screen cracked.” (RumorFix)
Trujillo also claims her son tried to stop Flav from continuing the gruesome attack.
Flav’s baby momma tells us that the sound of the phone being smashed woke him up and that’s when the confrontation tarted, “He woke up and called me ‘a f***ng bitch,’ he was throwing me around, tossing me around. And I was bleeding and bruised all over. He pulled my earrings out. I’m damaged, I’m in complete pain, I can’t move,” she tells us, revealing that the pain was so bad she had to go to the hospital and be prescribed pain and anxiety medication. Naturally, Liz’s 16-year-old burly son came to her aide as soon as he heard Flav’s rage. Liz tells us that her boy, Girard, went downstairs and put Flav in a headlock until he promised to calm down. Sure enough, as soon as the hip hop artist gave Girard his word and Girard finally released him, Flav went straight for the butcher knife allegedly pointing it at Liz’s straight A student son shouting, “Now I’m gonna kill you! Do you see these eyes?! Now I’m gonna kill you!!” The frightened mother tells RumorFix that’s when she finally called the police. (RumorFix)
Details of his arrest struck the Internet Wednesday (October 17) morning.
Flavor Flav was arrested early this morning in Vegas after allegedly assaulting someone in his house with a deadly weapon, TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Flav — real name William Drayton Jr. — allegedly got into a heated verbal argument with a teenager in his house, as well as his fiancee. His fiancee then called 911. It’s unclear if the teenager is Flavor’s child. According to law enforcement sources, Flav allegedly threatened one person with a knife during the argument, and battered the other — it’s unclear which person he threatened, and which he physically attacked. Flav was arrested around 3am and booked on two charges — felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic violence (battery). He’s currently being held on $23,000 bail. (TMZ)
He reportedly ran into another crime-related incident over the summer.
Drayton, a native of Freeport, N.Y., became famous with Public Enemy frontman Chuck D and was known for yelling “Yeah, boy!” and “Flavor Flav!” during performances. His public persona also included wearing a skyscraper afro and a large clock on his chest. The Review-Journal reported that Drayton was also arrested July 4 for possession of fireworks and disturbing the peace. He has also been cited recently for several traffic incidents and for possession of less than an ounce of a controlled substance. (Los Angeles Times)
