The Lil Wayne and DJ Drama mixtape “Dedication 4” has officially been delayed.
It was looking like the mixtape was going to be pushed back as Weezy and DJ Drama had went quiet on the project today, but it is now official that Lil Wayne‘sDedication 4 mixtape will be delayed.
While rappers delaying albums is nothing new, the delay of this mixtape comes after Wiz Khalifa‘s and Curren$y‘s Live In Concert was delayed to clear samples. No word on if this is the cause of the D4 delay, but after the Mac Millerlawsuits, it seems that some of the bigger names in hip hop are weary about using other artists’ beats on free tapes.
Mack Maine, the president of Young Money, took to Twitter to break the bad news to fans that the mixtape will not drop today. No future date has been released, as he only said “we will announce the new date soon”.
